Scholar for 2015/16 Academic year:

Rebecca Fry

“I feel privileged to have been awarded an HM Hubbard Scholarship, which enabled me to complete the thesis-intensive LLM programme at the University of Toronto. The programme provided me with the opportunity to combine studying a range of courses, primarily concerning aspects of legal and political theory, with the preparation of a thesis focussing on the underlying purposes or goals of charity regulation.”

Message from the Chairman of the Trustees

“My co-trustees and I are delighted to offer an opportunity for a year’s funded study in Canada, France or Spain. I hope that you will find all the information you need on this website. In particular, do have a look at the comments of previous scholars, and note the benefits they feel they obtained from their year’s study. The scholarship will cover fees and living expenses and recent scholarships have ranged between £14,000 and £28,000.

I hope that you will feel the opportunity of a legal sabbatical is worth following up, and that we may meet you at interview.”
